#unZombieTales #1 Winners
Hear ye, hear ye! #unZombieTales (sponsored by BigFishGames.com!) has come to a close. All the votes are in, the judge (ME) has finished pulling out his hair and, since there’s no more whiskey, it’s time to announce the winners.
First though, I want to say a heart-felt thank you to everyone who entered and took their time to make my first time hosting a big success. For all the entries, RT’s, blog comments, G+, and FB likes, I can’t thank you guys enough. If I haven’t followed each and every one of you, please drop me a line. It’s the least I can do.
Second, the quality of the entries blew me away. Every single one was thoughtful and well-written and my job as a judge was EXTREMELY difficult. I had a top 3 list that was 8 entries too long, and if you think you were in the running for one of those top 3 spots, you’re more than likely right. And, on an interesting note, every single entry got votes for fan favorite, so someone out there thinks you all did a bang up job.
Now a recap for our fabulous contestants.
PRIZES:
One winner and two honorable mention entries will win bragging rights, free publicity, and a 3-pack of Zombie games (see below) from our gracious sponsor BigFishGames.com.
Two additional entries will be chosen at random from the pool of points participants in the Rafflecopter.com giveaway. Those random entries will win a 3-pack of games from BigFishGames.com as well.
One fan favorite will be chosen by popular vote and get a spotlight interview on Zombiemechanics.com with loads of twitter RT’s and fawning admiration.
Winner and Grand Master Zombie Slayer:
Laura Huntley! (#9, @LauraHuntley)
Laura’s wickedly funny tale of a zombified little sister hit all the right notes. It’s a perfectly written little vignette with unusual elements that twists the zombie theme into a joker-like smile. Well done, Laura!
Honorable Mentions (in no particular order):
Holly Kench! (#5, @StuffedO)
Holly is one sick lady. And I say that in with admiration and respect, of course. What kind of twisted mind thinks up problem-solving, self-cannibalizing, zombie babies? A creative one. Well done, Holly!
Anna Meade! (#14, @Ruanna3)
Anna captured a tender emotional moment and brought it to life with vivid imagery. The unusual idea of an imaginary bambi companion was inspired. Well done, Anna!
Random Drawing Winners:
#20, @adaddyblog
He promoted the heck out of this contest and racked up more than twice as many points as his closest competitor. Sometimes buying all the lottery tickets pays off.
#11, @bullishink
Ruth promoted like a champ, but in the end her lucky number #11 was what brought her some sweet zombie games.
Fan Favorite Election:
#14, @ruanna3 (Anna Meade) by the narrowest of margins.
Anna rallied all of her fanatical twitter followers and picked up a huge chunk of the write in vote using her fairy charms.
Congratulations to the winners!
Please send me your email address by DM on twitter so I can arrange BigFishGames.com prize packs. And please give our winners a hearty shoutout on twitter and encouraging words of good sportsmanship.
Thank you all! Good night and good flashing!

YAY! How exciting!
Thanks so much for running this competition. It was such a fun intro to flash for me, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the twisted workings of my disturbed mind!
Congrats to everyone else as well, especially Laura and Anna. The stories were all such fun reads!
PS. Sorry you ran out of whiskey – that’s the true nightmare.
